Summary of Duties
As a Coaching and Training Specialist, you will:
Provide coaching, training, and technical assistance at the local branch level to social service staff who directly engage with families involved with Child Welfare in Screening, Protective Services, Certification, and Permanency Work.
Interpret policies for staff and/or notify employees of new or changed policies.
Provide specific consultation on sensitive, difficult, or complex cases to achieve optimum utilization and integration of the child welfare service plan.
Provide feedback to employees and supervisors regarding employee performance.
Assist with operational guidance related to improving service case practices and to identify appropriate procedures and resources to promote safety, wellbeing, and permanency.
Participate in audits, case reviews, program improvement plans, and other evaluative processes designed to improve Child Welfare Practice.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field AND one year experience with responsibility for child welfare case management (i.e., managing a caseload that involved case planning, placement decisions, child protection issues, or treatment interventions);
OR
A bachelor's degree in any field AND two years of experience managing a child welfare caseload that involved case planning, placement decisions, child protection issues, or treatment interventions;
OR
An associate degree in any field AND three years of experience managing a child welfare caseload that involved case planning, placement decisions, child protection issues, or treatment interventions.
