2025 University Recruiting – Genome Sciences, Wet Lab-based Co-op

The Future Talent Program within our Research & Development Division Data, AI, and Genome Sciences (DAGS) Department is offering co-ops that last a period of six months. We have 2 lab-based positions at our Cambridge, MA location. These projects are designed to enable students to further develop their skills and to evaluate if we are the right company for their long-term goals. We are seeking highly motivated and talented students with wet lab skillsets. 

 

The projects will be in one of the following areas:  

 

Genome Sciences (2 positions, Cambridge, MA):

Apply cellular and genomic technologies towards the functional validation of genetic targets and pathways.  

Evaluate cutting-edge systems-level technologies for target discovery and validation. 

Implement 3D cell culture techniques, such as organoids and co-culture, to model disease complexity and micro-environment interactions.

Employ CRISPR-Cas9 technology to perform gene knockouts, knock-in, and other genetic manipulations in cellular models.

Participate in the maintenance of hiPSC-derived cell models to study disease mechanisms and test therapeutic candidates.

Generate and characterize disease-relevant cell lines, including the establishment of stable report cell lines for target validation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings in group meetings.

Document experimental results in electronic laboratory notebook.

 

Required Education and Skills: 

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's degree program in Biological Sciences or a related field of study. Students enrolled in graduate programs (MS or PhD) are highly encouraged to apply. 

Candidates must be available to work full-time for 6 months in 2025.  

 

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

Candidates must have excellent academic achievement and analytical ability. 

Candidates must have demonstrated superior communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to work well in a collaborative team environment. 

Candidates may have interests/experience in ANY of the fields of molecular biology, immunology, oncology, cell biology, neuroscience, or bioinformatics.  

Specific skill sets could include one or more of the following: primary cell/tissue culture, stem cell biology, standard molecular biology techniques, genomic technologies, flow cytometry, single cell methodologies.

 

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$39,600.00-$105,500.00

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
