Opportunity:
Assist the NA Seats Product Marketing team, taking our organization from a Manufacturer to a Brand that Manufacturers. This role will function within the Product Marketing role of New Product Development, along with several activities and task associated with Category Management. This person will get a chance to understand the importance of competitive analysis and how to best develop products from a market back innovation perspective along with incorporating learnings form critical strategies.
Specific Responsibilities:
*Lead two (2) product development projects within North America seats, which will include market research, cross team collaboration, financial analysis and go to market efforts
*Work specifically with Sr Product Marketing Category Manager on the category management of the following:
*Strategy development and tactical planning
*Product continuums and progressions
*Product blue sky events
*Build out competitive analysis for analog toilet seats or technology integrated toilet seats within all channels (online, retail, wholesale) including:
*Price positions, features, market share, differentiators, SWOT
This position will be for a summer internship. Virtual interviews will take place November-December and the internship will start mid-May/early June and end in August.
Skills & Qualifications:
*Currently in college pursuing an undergrad degree in Marketing or Business (may consider a new graduate looking for an intern post-graduation)
*Preferred candidate will have a strong curiosity toward path-to-purchase, consumer and pro segments.
*Familiar with MS Office products (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate to all levels of the organization.
*Organized and detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks and work against deadlines.
*High abstract reasoning/thinking (entrepreneurial spirit, big-picture thinking, rapidly learn new information and acquire new skills, form new strategies, and solve new problems) desired.
*Self-starter, ability to work independently, stay focused yet able to multitask between projects.
