Hybrid schedule consisting of remote and in-the-office located in Camp Hill, PA
The Center for Schools & Communities (CSC), a statewide education, training and technical assistance organization, is seeking qualified candidates for this full time position. Responsibilities include technical assistance in building effective family engagement strategies that help to improve academic achievement among Migrant Education students. The work focuses on improving family engagement in and out of school, training parents about their rights and responsibilities and facilitating the state and regional Migrant Parent Advisory. Council/Parent Groups. This position is also responsible for carrying out special projects as outlined below.
Salary: $52,000 – 60,000 dependent on qualifications. This is an exempt position working a 260 day per year, 12-month work schedule. This full-time position follows a regular Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week) work schedule with the opportunity to allow a hybrid work schedule consisting of three (3) days in-office work at the Center for Schools and Communities office located in Camp Hill, PA location and two (2) days telework from home and/or approved off-site locations. In addition, face-to-face interaction with clients, meetings and trainings may be required on days deemed as teleworking days. Certain requirements, based upon CSIU telework policy and administrative regulations, must be met. The CSIU has the right to cancel or suspend the employee teleworking privileges at any time, for any or no reason due to the requirement of the CSIU and client needs.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related social science and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Bilingual in both the English and Spanish languages required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse communities and cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, teachers and principals.
- Knowledge of parent education and support programs.
- Knowledge of course requirements for graduation, college entrance requirements and scholarship applications.
- Extensive knowledge of parent engagement in community and/or school settings. (Prior experience working with public schools, particularly Title I schools, English as Second Language (ESL) and migrant programs, understanding of family support principles and engagement continuum, parent or family leadership and collaborative systems work is an advantage.)
- Ability to conduct needs assessments, data analysis and write reports.
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple activities.
- Ability to work independently and willingness to be a team player.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients both internal and external.
- Intermediate computer literacy including: customer relationship management (CRM) tools, word processing, database entry and manipulations, internet searches, online training tools, and developing PowerPoint presentations.
- Group facilitation/training skills (understanding of and appreciation for adult learners and variety of learning styles).
- Experience in curriculum or workshop training development.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry, email and experience managing file sharing with Google Drive.
- Adept at using virtual meeting platforms such as Skype, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize the task based on project deadlines. And must be able to type accurately and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Must have ability to communicate and work effectively with colleagues, co-workers, community agency personnel, and students/trainees.
- Requires the ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships using tact and diplomacy and to remain calm in unpredictable situations.
