Winter Co-op/Implementation Science

Department Description:

The Digital Innovation & Implementation Science team at ViiV Healthcare is laser focused on finding solutions to end the HIV epidemic by identifying innovative solutions that work in the real world. Our clinical studies are implemented in over 25 countries, on 6 continents, and focus on strategies to close the gaps along the HIV prevention and care continuum. We are looking for a one-year Co-Op on our Implementation Science team to support our efforts by working on multiple projects involving implementation of a long-acting injectable for HIV treatment and prevention in the United States.

Job Description:

  • Supports the day-to-day execution of team study activities, including the coordination of internal workstreams and project dissemination activities.
  • Liaises among cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of evidence generation to understand and measure the effectiveness of interventions in different settings.
  • Ensures effective communication to build trusting and respectful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, CROs, and vendors to ensure alignment of implementation science strategies.
  • Serves a leading role in results dissemination to internal and external stakeholders on study results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Masters or a recent graduate of a Masters program, specifically an MPH, MA, or MS, relating to research and/or public health.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12-month co-op (January 2025 ~ January 2026).
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing and supporting social science research and/or clinical trials
  • Educational or work experience in implementation science, implementation research or dissemination research, understands or is familiar with frameworks, implementation context, implementation strategies and how to evaluate them effectively.
  • Ability/interest to help develop frameworks and process flows around implementation science.

Benefits:

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend.
