Youth Mental Health Psychological Associate III
General Description
Will provide psychotherapy, skills training, and case management as authorized by HHS TRR model. Will provide therapy and rehab services using HHS approved curricula to children and adolescents 3-17 years old. Will perform intake assessments. Works towards positive consumer outcomes by reducing symptoms and increasing level of functioning. Community based services.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the fields of Psychology, Counseling or Social Work. Must be licensed as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW by the State of Texas or must be licensed as a LPC-A, LCSW-I, or LMFT-A by the State of Texas. Must have reliable transportation. May use personal vehicle to conduct business. Must have valid driver's license at all times, liability insurance and a good driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstration of the clinical competencies required by agency approved standardized training
- Valid Texas Driver's license
- Computer literate
- Ability to participate as a team member.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to assess individuals through interview.
- Knowledge of psychopathology as described in DSM-5
- Experience in the use of counseling techniques to treat persons with mental disorders
- Ability to plan treatment for consumers.
- Ability to interact effectively with families and other members of the community
- In the course of being employed, understands and implements trauma informed care practices
