Assistant Nurse Manager / Opioid Treatment Program

JOB TITLE (#3016): Assistant Nurse Manager / Opioid Treatment Program- Bronx, NY

Minimum of 3 years experience as an RN, preferably in a substance use disorder treatment program
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an Opioid Treatment Program Assistant Nurse Manager to fill an opening with a Residential Facility (FQHC) located in Bronx, New York

Requirements of the Assistant Nurse Manager / Opioid Treatment Program:

  • Must have a current NYS Registered Nurse License
  • Must have a current NYS Infection Control Certificate and BCLS Completion Card
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience as an RN, preferably in a substance use disorder treatment program
  • Must have at least 1 year experience in a supervisory/management position
  • Must have proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, Electronic Health Records, etc.)
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must have the ability to interact with service recipients of diverse social, cultural and economic groups
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Responsibilities of the Assistant Nurse Manager / Opioid Treatment Program:

  • Supervise and monitor nursing staff’s adherence to facility and nursing department policy and procedures.
  • Assist staff with interpreting and implementation of departmental policy/procedures.
  • Assist in the ordering, delivery, tracking, handling, and monitoring of controlled substance inventory.
  • Responsible for ensuring all reports are generated, as required by the facility and regulatory agency mandates.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and evaluation of staff.
  • Comprehends staff disciplinary process.
  • Promote client relations by assisting in the reviewing, investigation, implementation of corrective action (as indicated) and resolution of client complaints.
  • Responsible for reviewing, with staff, changes in federal and state laws/regulations impacting clinical practice and service delivery.
  • Ensure adequate staffing by reviewing staff schedules prior to submitting for approval.
  • Assist in processing staff timesheets for payroll.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
  • Assist with the process of accurate reporting to regulatory agencies and internal sources in accordance with regulations and indicated timeframes.
  • Make recommendations to the Director of Nursing on matters concerning the physical plant operations and resources.
  • Utilizing the nursing process will assess clients when indicated and refer appropriately.
  • Provide health education/teaching to support client adherence to their prescribed plan of care.
  • Assist staff in the delivery of services, including medication administration, in both the OTP and on the Mobile Medication Unit.
  • Assist in the evaluation of clients and recommend interventions to the Director of Nursing and/or clinical staff
