About Us:
The Vape Waste Project (VWP) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of disposable vape waste by promoting responsible recycling practices. We aim to educate the public, collect disposable vapes, and partner with local businesses and communities to prevent toxic waste from ending up in landfills.

Position Overview:
We are looking for passionate and eco-conscious individuals to join our team as Volunteer Representatives. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the collection of disposable vapes within your local community, working with local businesses, schools, and organizations to ensure proper vape disposal. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful environmental impact and help protect our planet’s future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with local vape shops, businesses, and organizations to set up vape collection boxes.
• Educate the community on the importance of recycling disposable vapes and preventing environmental harm.
• Facilitate the collection, storage, and shipment of used disposable vapes for proper recycling.
• Track and report on the number of vapes collected for our environmental impact reports.
• Collaborate with VWP team members and other volunteers to expand the reach of our collection program.

Qualifications:

• Passion for environmental sustainability and waste reduction.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable engaging with local businesses and community members.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Previous volunteer experience (preferred, but not required).
