Work with Mary's Pence as a QVS Fellow!
About the position:
The QVS Fellow will be an integral part of our team. We are a small group and all aspect of the work are related to all others. This role will get a chance to support the areas of grant making and grantee support, communications, and development. The position will also support the general operations of the office, and maintenance of our files and our
records.
Some ways this role may participate in the work of Mary’s Pence:
Mary’s Pence Grants –
• Interview grantees and write articles.
• Serve on the committee selecting grantees, reviewing applications, and participating in decisions.
• Researching topics related to grantees work, and finding resources that can be useful to grantees.
• Helping to plan and implement a 3 day grantee retreat.
Communications –
• Support social media and newsletter by developing content.
• Providing reflections for the eNews.
Development -
• Help plan and prepare for local tabling events, such as the Saint Paul Art Crawl; help in planning local donor events.
• Preparing data analysis on donor segments and outreach efforts.
• Participate in some grant researching and writing experience.
Management and Administration -
• Preparation and planning for in person board retreat.
• Donor database clean up.
We strive to understand the Fellows interests and skills and add special projects based on mutual needs.
About Quaker Voluntary Service:
Quaker Voluntary Service is an 11-month service program operating in Boston, Philadelphia, Minneapolis and Portland, OR. During their service term, QVS Fellows receive many supports including:
