About the position:
Working at NEFP is a fast-paced, dynamic opportunity to provide direct assistance to families in need. Our "never-boring" workplace is positive and inclusive, dedicated to offering food as a path to health and economic stability. The Pantry Associate will support the operations of NEFP by 1) providing leadership with respect to volunteer coordination and management 2) contributing to the efficient and safe receiving of food deliveries; 3) contributing to the efficient and dignity-focused distribution of food to clients.
NEFP serves 900 unique families in a typical week. Approximately 30% speak Spanish, 20% Chinese, 20% English, 15% Vietnamese 10% Ukrainian or Russian, and 5% other. We do not have data on the age of the clients or the households they represent. In addition to clients, the Fellow will work alongside many volunteers, including approximately 50 who are
consistent weekly participants and hundreds other one-time assistants.

Quaker Voluntary Service is an 9.5-month service program operating in Boston, Philadelphia, Minneapolis and Portland, OR. During their service term, QVS Fellows receive many supports including:
