This position reports to

Technical Training Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business. You will be mainly accountable for: • Provides ABB Electrification technical training solutions to internal, external, and end users. Training content will include online, instructional videos, as well as instructor-led delivery materials in support of ABB business objectives. • Responsible for all assigned product training requirements, including but not limited to online e-learning, how-to-videos, webinar content, virtual classroom content, and face-to-face content creation, as well as maintenance, improvements, and updates as needed. • Assists in the needs assessment process and makes suggestions to improve design, creation, innovation, and updates of training programs or materials. • Collaborates with other Instructional Designers and subject matter experts in the development of train-the-trainer materials enhancing the demonstration of delivery concepts and improving the customer journey. • Requires ability to storyboard and develop easily accessible and understood technical solutions based on application and specific customer needs. • Must be proficient in Windows OS, general Instructional Design tools and methods, Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, and multimedia applications.

Qualifications for the role

 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in instructional design, engineering, or related field, in the United States.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
