Training and Development Intern (Summer 2025)

Position Summary
As a Training and Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Training and Development team to support the design, delivery, coordination, and evaluation of various learning and development initiatives. This internship is an opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in Training, Organizational Development, or Career Development to gain hands-on experience promoting professional development and continuous learning at NYSTRS. The Training and Development Intern will report to the Assistant Director of Enterprise Planning and Development.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time bachelor's or master's degree program in Adult Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology or a related field in the Humanities and Social Sciences with at least one semester left to complete all degree requirements after the internship.

- Experience administering an organization-wide training or engagement program
Work Modality
This position is subject to a hybrid work schedule.
Job Duties
The duties of the Training and Development Intern include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Provide general administrative support to the Training and Development team.
- Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends in Training and Development.
- Assist with coordinating logistics for monthly training sessions, workshops, or events.
- Assist with the evaluation of training programs through surveys, assessments, and feedback analysis.
Salary Grade
This is a non-graded position.
Salary Range
$20.00 per hour.
