Student: Accounting Assistant

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) supports a variety of missions, including NASA's vision to reveal the unknown for the benefit of humankind and the Department of Defense's aim to protect our nation on the ground, in the air, and in space. Our sensors, satellites, software systems, and science and engineering play an essential role in some important missions you've heard of, and others that you haven't. We are seeking a student to perform service center tasks including monthly billing, maintaining consumable inventory, assisting with cost projections and equipment use rate derivation, tracking and verifying all service center expenses, reconciling monthly credit card transaction reports, and maintaining Excel & SDL internal databases.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a USU student majoring in Accounting or Business
  • Must be able to work 20 hours per week during the school year and 20 - 40 hours per week during the summer
  • Self-motivated and able to follow directions
  • Ability to work with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to stock and maintain inventory (pushing carts, stocking items, etc.)
  • Must have the ability to work effectively independently
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sophomore level or higher
