Territory Manager

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION                                      REPORTS TO:                Vice President of Sales

Territory Manager –   SC, GA, AL, TN

 

Core Tasks:

 

  • Market stone veneer and thin brick products to builders and contractors in the Upstate, South Carolina market.
  • Manage and strengthen one-step building material dealer customer relationships in GA, TN, AL, and SC.
  • Call on architects, designers and other specifiers to promote specifications of Coronado Stone products.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets leading to increased market share.
  • Identify, target, professionally present, and close new customers.
  • Articulate product and supplier differentiations justifying Coronado positioning.
  • Professionally present AIA accredited, company approved power point presentations.
  • Attend and promote Coronado products at industry trade shows.
  • Inspect homes and manage product incident issues in the field.
  • Track and communicate competitor actions in assigned territory.
  • Manage expenses within company norms.
  • Effectively execute administrative duties such as expense reports and call reports.
  • Work with manager on personal development.

 

 

Skills, Experience, & Knowledge Qualifications:

 

  • Able to professionally present and manage various channel and end use customers.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work and succeed with limited direct supervision.
  • Work from home-based virtual office when not calling on customer warehouse locations or outdoor job-sites.
  • Overnight travel 1-3 nights every other week.
  • Must possess an understanding of building supply products, construction, and building materials distribution channels.
  • Competitive nature and positive attitude.
  • Minimum 2 years selling experience.
  • Superior organizational skills, the ability to meet hard deadlines, professional appearance, and excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to effectively work with production and support functions.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office and e-mail.

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Must be able to operate a company owned vehicle and have a clean/valid drivers license.
  • Must be able to lift samples, literature, etc. up to 50 lbs.
