Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist
In this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position, you will lead the Community Assistance RSF for the Interagency Recovery Coordination (IRC) Program Area in interpreting and implementing the National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF) within the Long-Term Recovery Office for the 2024 Maui Wildfire Recovery Efforts.
Typical assignments include:
- Leading the Community Planning and Capacity Building efforts for disaster recovery.
- Working with partners on community recovery.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement, community meetings, and provide planning support post-disaster.
To qualify for this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
- Supervising a team of employees regarding the delivery of disaster recovery programs.
- Providing technical guidance on federal laws, regulations, and/or policies governing disaster recovery programs; and
- Communicating disaster recovery programs and/or initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
