Formulation Technician Intern, Global Beauty & Home (Summer 2025)

The Ingredion Global Beauty & Home Team is hiring a Formulation Technician Intern for summer 2025 with formulation knowledge to support our team in building portfolios for internal new product launches. The Summer Intern will be responsible for the screening of raw materials and completing compatibility analysis for new product solutions benefiting Global Beauty applications. They will perform research related duties as needed or assigned, support internal and external customer request, create technical data as well as document and prepare technical reports with guidance from the team.

 

As the Formulation Technician Intern your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing work project(s) to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Developing, technically evaluating and stability testing any formulations generated.
  • Analyzing and understanding data, results and scientific literature to advance projects.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe work environment following established guidelines for good housekeeping and safety.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other internal colleagues
  • Present prototypes, project status, updates and outcomes to internal Global Beauty & Home team.
  • Make presentations and writing technical reports.

 

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or related field with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred.
  • Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term.
  • Experience with hands-on formulating Beauty and/or Home products is a plus
  • Analytical Experience
  • Design of Experiment (DOE) Capabilities
  • Innovative, self-motivated and high level of enthusiasm for the job
  • Are ambitious, able to prioritize, well organized, detail oriented, good with time management and deadlines.
  • Have a passion for cosmetic science and curiosity for learning.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills (technical reports for distribution, presentations, data analysis etc.)
  • Proven proficiency using MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day.

  • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
  • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
