Instrument Maintenance Techician
EAG Laboratories is looking for a technician who will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of EAG’s analytical instruments and ancillary equipment located at the Sunnyvale, California lab. The ideal individual must have at least three years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting for equipment or instrumentation.
This position could require periodic travel to other EAG laboratories, domestic and international, and occasional travel to other sites.
This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: a U.S. Person is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Employee Responsibilities:
- Perform and log routine/preventive and emergency service on instruments and peripherals according to maintenance plan/schedule, including but not limited to process water chillers, battery back-up systems, vacuum pumps, ovens, coaters, purge boxes, mass spectrometers, auger and scanning electron microscopes, optical and stylus profilers, other.
- Install utility connections for equipment listed herein, including electrical, processed chilled water, deionized water, compressed air, pressurized gasses, vacuum lines, communication links, and customized needs as required.
- Maintain and organize adequate stock levels of spare parts and peripherals.
- Maintain, organize, and create technical documentation, procedures, schematics, work instructions, and parts lists.
- Provide timely updates to management in the form of status reports and service reports.
- Assist and support facility/infrastructure when needed to maintain suitable working environment for instruments.
- Troubleshoot and debug electronic circuitry (analog/digital)
- Assist with the development and implementation of computer-based service management system.
