We’re Hiring! Utility Systems Operator/Repairer – Curecanti National Recreation Area 🔧

Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in one of the most scenic spots in Colorado? Curecanti National Recreation Area, located along the Gunnison River and surrounded by stunning canyon views, is looking for a Utility Systems Operator/Repairer to maintain essential park systems.

Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Operate and maintain 9 potable water systems, including all processes, sampling, and recordkeeping.
🔹 Oversee operations and maintenance of wastewater systems, including two sewage lift stations and a four-cell sewage lagoon.
🔹 Perform and record meter readings for water usage and propane at multiple park locations.
🔹 Serve as a member of the Buildings and Utilities crew, responsible for park-wide plumbing and electrical system maintenance.
🔹 Complete tasks with minimal supervision, requiring expertise in accepted trade practices, equipment operations, and safety protocols.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
💪 Heavy to moderate physical effort, including frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
🌦 Exposure to seasonal weather conditions ranging from -30 to 90+ degrees, as well as hazards such as dust, chemicals, electrical shocks, and outdoor elements.
