Join our team at Grand Canyon National Park and play a key role in protecting one of the world’s most iconic landscapes! As an Environmental Protection Specialist, you will manage all aspects of environmental compliance for the park, ensuring that projects align with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and associated laws.

Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Manage compliance processes and environmental documentation for the park.
🔹 Review and evaluate projects for compliance with NEPA and other environmental regulations, laws, and guidelines.
🔹 Prepare high-quality environmental compliance documents, such as Categorical Exclusions (CEs) and Environmental Assessments (EAs).
🔹 Evaluate proposals, analyze environmental effects, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to minimize or avoid potential impacts.
🔹 Act as the NEPA compliance liaison to other park divisions and participate in project planning processes.

Additional Duties for GS-11:
🔸 Lead the public involvement process under NEPA, including presenting at public meetings.
🔸 Lead NEPA efforts on complex projects and develop programmatic NEPA documents.
🔸 Coordinate with resource specialists and project managers to ensure thorough environmental analysis and compliance.
