Keetac Plant Operations and Maintenance Intern

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer or Industrial Engineer Student at Minnesota Ore Operations. The Internship affords the opportunity to apply educational experiences to real world engineering principals. This position is a temporary full-time position for the summer of 2025 and will be located at Keetac in Keewatin, MN. This is a safety sensitive position requiring drug and alcohol testing.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Report directly to plant managers and work along-side the process engineers and shift managers.
- Perform testing and optimization of the newly installed DR-grade pellet processing equipment.
- Develop spare parts lists for equipment.
- Create operational and maintenance procedures.
- Update facility documents.
- Organize equipment manuals, engineering drawings, and other technical information.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Candidates must be a current student and have completed their sophomore year by June 2024 and be in good academic standing.
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
