The Institute for Integrative & Innovative Research (I³R) at the University of Arkansas is seeking an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will report to the I³R Executive Administrator and provide departmental administrative support to the various teams within the institute to ensure successful and seamless operations. The job duties include, but are not limited to clerical tasks, processing procurement and travel requests, providing operational support, and other duties as assigned.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent experience
Experience in an administrative support capacity or a related field applicable to work performed
Proficient in all Microsoft Suite Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the UA Workday system
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
Skills in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolution, and the development of concrete action plans to solve problems.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and prioritize tasks
Ability to multi-task
Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information:
This position is located off U of A main campus in the Shiloh Building (481 S. Shiloh Drive, Fayetteville, AR 72704) until the completion of the I3R main campus building in 2024.
