As a Student Trainee (Biological Sciences and Natural Resources), the incumbent will work under closer supervision performing assignments and completing training. At the full-performance level, you will be expected to:
In this role you will, assist microbiology personnel with the collection of data in the field.
Perform various activities related to the safe operation of biological safety level (BSL) 1 and 2 laboratories.
Review office files, published reports, and materials held by other agencies to obtain sufficient information for possible use in preparation of biological data reports, species accounts, or related assessments.
Assist senior personnel with the setup, teardown, transportation, and operation of mobile laboratories to include coordination with various logistical components and submission of the required paperwork.
Assist senior personnel with required function checks for all microbiological analytical equipment and reporting of all noted deficiencies.
