What you'll be doing

  • Act as Product Design Owner (PDO) delegate at the plant within the product family and technical expert for projects in development and lifecycle management activities within Kidney Care Solutions Team
  • Act as a R and D Liaison for supporting Mt. Home Plant, cross-functions and R&D sites globally
  • Co-ordinate, organize, plan and execute sustaining activities in compliance with current QA/ environmental/ regulations and standards
  • Provide technical leadership, own change controls and guide PI Leads within its product family in order to get tasks accomplished according to plans, milestones and business needs
  • Support Audit related initiatives for the site and enforce to good documentation practices
  • Review and approve Design Control documentation for projects in development and sustaining activities.
  • Establish, maintain and update technical specification describing product appearance, characteristics and functions, and associated verification and validation documents in collaboration with the respective product design owner of a given product family
  • Organize, plan and follow the execution of product changes, supplier changes and labeling tasks related to life cycle management projects
  • Support worldwide product registration and launch following international/regional/national regulations; provide technical support to authorities questions
  • Participate to products/process/cost improvements related to life cycle management projects
  • Provide resource estimation and forecast
  • Ensure good internal and cross-functional communication and regular status update of projects

What you'll bring

  • PHD/Masters in Pharmaceutics, Material Science, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biosciences and Biomedical engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of diverse industrial experience with Masters and about 3 years post Bachelors in the given technical domains of interest
  • Possesses an agile approach.
  • Should understand ICH, FDA, relevant cGxPs, ISO, and quality systems associated with pharmaceutical and medical devices' development.
  • Understand implications of raw material change in pharmaceutical and medical devices industries (product impact, process impact, regulatory implications, end user, sterilization etc.)
  • Proven track record to create results within budget, timeline, and product/project work
  • Adequate orientation towards Renal therapies and products with time
  • Good knowledge of Design Control documentation and medical writing
  • Sound knowledge of international/regional/national regulations and standards for drugs and medical devices
  • Acquire intuition for business with time
  • Demonstrate strong project management and people leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with Statistics and Six Sigma tools
  • Can effectively connect with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to shift gears between projects comfortably
  • Fluency in English
  • Solid digital literacy: email, documentation and collaboration tools: e.g. WebEx, Teams, Microsoft Office products, etc.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of 104,000 to 156,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
