Design Integration Engineering Intern (8091)

Qorvo’s Design Integration Engineering Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, and Connectivity and Sensors business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering high quality integrated laminate designs that meet parametric and cost targets within product development schedule
  • Using CAD programs (Keysight/Agilent ADS, Cadence Virtuoso and HFSS) for circuit layout/design
  • Using Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, RF Signal Generators, and other tools to perform characterization of engineering samples in the design engineering lab
  • Preparing engineering documents for communications with peers, customers and management
  • Constantly benchmarking simulation with measurement to ensure best in class product at first pass
  • Interacting with different disciplines and peers within Qorvo to deliver high performance and quality semiconductor products in mass production to our worldwide customers in mobile handset area
  • Contributing to cross functional continuous improvement efforts

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience
  • Experience with ADS / HFSS mitigating parasitic effects from laminate/PCB/package relying on EM simulations
  • Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred
  • Experience in data analysis/mining/extraction statistical methods and tools
  • Software experience:Keysight/Agilent ADS, Cadence Virtuoso and HFSS
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sense of responsibility
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
