Supply Chain and Supply Management - Summer 2025 Intern (Undergraduate)

A Day in the Life

Your work may focus on:

  • Supply and demand planning
  • Developing and driving supply chain and supply management optimization
  • Driving strategic data analytics and cost savings
  • Executing process improvements
  • Managing relationships and negotiation
  • Supplier selection and category management
  • Building your confidence, network, and skills

 

Under the direction of your manager, you will:

  • Prepare plans for a project you own
  • Collaborate on cross-functional teams
  • Participate in project reviews and presentations
  • Implement advances in analytics
  • Identify opportunities for productivity and quality improvement

 

Internship Overview:

  • These are full-time (40 hours/week), paid positions that are 11-12 weeks long.
  • Most internships are hybrid
  • We offer housing assistance (for out-of-state interns), and relocation expense reimbursement.
  • We provide educational programming, social events, networking, and leadership exposure throughout the summer.
  • You will be paired with a Peer Mentor who is a Medtronic employee to help guide you through your internship.

As a Supply Chain or Supply Management Intern, you will have broad exposure to our Supply Chain or Supply Management organizations and leadership teams. Your participation in special projects and strategic initiatives will be critical to overall success of our business strategies.

 

MUST HAVE:

To be considered for a summer 2025 Supply Chain or Supply Management internship, you must meet the following basic requirements. To be considered for a position, clearly indicate how you meet these criteria on your resume.

  • Undergraduate student with sophomore or junior level standing with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2026, Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Supply Management, or a related field
  • Candidates applying for Medtronic’s Summer Internship Program must have current work authorization and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. The Medtronic Summer Internship Program does not provide work authorization sponsorship for summer intern positions. Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for the Medtronic Summer Internship Program.
  • Participants must be able to participate full time (40 hours/week) as part of our intern cohort:
    • Monday, June 2 - Friday, August 15

 

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Minimum of a 3.0 out of 4.0 cumulative GPA
  • Prior work on projects in a team environment
  • Leadership experience in student groups, volunteer experience, and related extracurriculars
  • Relevant academic project and/or internship experience

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):20.25-25.25

The base salary range is used nationally in the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. The Medtronic Internship Program offers an hourly rate of pay that falls within the range of $20.25 to $25.25 per hour. The hourly rate offered will be determined by the position and is subject to variation based on the number of years of school completed.
