Speech Language Pathologist

Position Overview

School SLP Role and Responsibilities

  • Be at the forefront of delivering high quality and dynamic SLP services across educational settings
  • Provide a full spectrum SLP services in schools - assessment, intervention, program planning, collaboration, consultation and team education in a wide variety of language development
  • Serve children individually and in groups across educational activities and settings
  • Collaborate with teaching teams, families and other professionals to enhance children’s successes in school
  • Maintain detailed records of children’s services - assessment, intervention, progress monitoring and progress reporting
  • Make a tangible and positive impact on the lives of children in ways that are enjoyable, rewarding and fun!

 

School SLP Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Licensure in the State of Ohio as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Experience in serving children in school settings, working with children with developmental needs, and helping address social emotional challenges linked to communication of children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proactive problem solving abilities, and clinical reasoning
  • Effectiveness being an active part of a transdisciplinary team
