What You’ll Do

As a Program Executive, you’ll work with staff and volunteers to create and support exciting programs for boys and girls ages 5-20. You’ll have the opportunity to help deliver programs that engage young people, keep them involved in Scouting, and help them grow into future leaders. This role offers the chance to work independently, gain valuable leadership experience, and collaborate with community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring Scouting’s mission and goals to life by planning and supporting events, camps, and training.
  • Recruit, train, and work with volunteers to help deliver successful youth programs.
  • Create and manage resources to help local Scout units thrive.
  • Build relationships with community partners to enhance and promote Scouting.
  • Manage communication channels like social media and websites to keep the Scouting community informed and engaged.
  • Take part in fundraising efforts by securing sponsorships, grants, and donations.
  • Serve as the advisor for assigned committees and help guide their success.
  • Support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) initiatives, helping to integrate STEM programs into Scouting activities to inspire and engage youth in these fields.
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university —OR— associates degree plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Experience in youth programs or fundraising is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable working with and motivating volunteers.
