Process Engineer (Filer City, MI)

The Filer City Mill is looking for an entry level Process Engineer.

 

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.

Coordinate the efforts of our outside resources to improve our operation by filtering and utilizing appropriate information.

Conduct data analysis projects and use data to make business decisions.

Assignments may include some work at higher levels for training and development purposes. 

 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

0-3 years in process engineering, or production, in the paper industry.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in related field or previous co-op/internships.

Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
 

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:

Must be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints.

Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and interaction skills.

Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving.

Capable of working with ambiguity.

Strong knowledge of Pulp & Paper making, waste-water treatment, and recovery operations.

Demonstrated interest and aptitude in controls
