What You’ll Do
Joining McMaster-Carr’s Internal Audit team offers talented graduates the opportunity to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to the assessment of risks and controls for a wide range of financial and business processes. Managers will help you learn and develop your ability to perform audits, while promoting self-driven development. With each experience at McMaster-Carr, you are expected to embrace the opportunity to explore, ask questions, be challenged, and make an impact.
- A typical day at McMaster-Carr will vary, but you might find yourself doing any of the following:
- Performing audits in areas like finance, human resources, technology, distribution, and product compliance. You’ll contribute to planning, analyzing data, and reporting.
- Partnering with company experts to build an understanding of key business processes and share value-added recommendations.
- Serving as a reviewer or partner on critical work related to company controls and risks
- Collaborating with company leaders
Knowledge and experience gained through audits serve as a springboard for growth and advancement. Talented alumni from this team have transitioned to strategic roles across the company contributing to ambitious technology and operational improvement projects as well as leading teams in Accounting, Tax, Human Resources, and Product Development.
Cash Compensation
- Base compensation starts at $108,000
- Total cash compensation is generally around $140,000 with a profit sharing based on company profitability
