Supply Technician

The Air Force Research Laboratory, Logistics Readiness Branch (AFRL/RIOL) is seeking to fill a DU-2005-03, Supply Technician position located in Rome, NY. This position performs a wide range of systematized supply operations functions in support of the Logistics Readiness Branch.

 

Roles and responsibilities of this position include:

Provide administrative support to Customer Service Team, Equipment Management Team, and Warehouse Operations personnel.

Utilize the Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S) and Government Purchase Card (GPC) programs to ensure stock control.

Ensure customer needs are met while also complying with all legal and regulatory requirements of supply, procurement, and disposal. 

Performs inspections on inbound items and inventory for a broad range of equipment and commodities, conducts research to determine the root cause of any issues or discrepancies, and reports these via automated systems.

Process non-accountable equipment returns utilizing automated systems.

Required Qualifications

United States Citizenship.

Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.

Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 

Must pass an initial pre-employment medical examination.

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, DU-02, GS-06, or the equivalent in other pay systems.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with Air Force supply chain management.

Proficient with current Air Force Accountable Property Systems of Record: Defense Property Accountability System, Integrated Logistics System-Supply, and Logistics Readiness Tool Kit.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge of Air Force operations, objectives, principles, and methods.

Knowledge of supply operations and program requirements.
