The State Water Resources Control Board’s (State Water Board) Division of Water Quality has an opening for a permanent full-time Environmental Program Manager I (Supervisory) overseeing the Sustainable Water Plans and Policies Section. The position is eligible for telework with periodic travel and at least two in-office days per week. The headquarters location is located at 1001 I Street, 15th Floor, Sacramento, in the heart of downtown Sacramento. The office is in the vibrant downtown Sacramento area next to light rail stations, other public transportation, restaurants, the State Capital building, Downtown Commons, and the Golden 1 Center.

Duties:

The incumbent oversees the Sustainable Water Plans and Policies Section and acts in a lead capacity to oversee and lead teams to equitably increase water resiliency in California while protecting ecosystems for present and future generations. Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
