Student Assistant - Fiscal Services
The Fiscal Services department is one student assistant.

Overview: The Fiscal Services department is hiring with flexible hours to work around your class schedule! The student will provide support to the Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Administrative departments of Financial Services Unit located within Lindero Hall in order to support the members of the campus community. Ability to support staff up to 20 hours per week if taking summer classes and up to 40 hours per week if not taking any summer classes (must be a current CSUCI student). The hours are based on the operating needs of the Department/Division.
In-Person Office Hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The schedule is flexible. Pay is $16 an hour.
- General Duties: Provide clerical support to the team including front desk coverage, administrative support, and various other tasks.
- Specific Tasks: Greeting visitors, answering phones, reviewing emails, taking messages, managing 25 Live room reservations, filing and pulling documents, copying, preparing information packets, reviewing and entering Excel data, compiling reports, assisting with sorting and delivering mail, picking up and preparing outgoing mail, maintaining office supplies, filling paper in printers, solution center ticketing on staff inquiries, checking carts are charged and tidy, supporting with event logistics, corresponding with campus departments for information and documentation, and monitoring the inboxes.
- Skills and Attributes: Attention to detail, responsibility, friendliness, and courteousness. Professionalism and discretion, especially when handling confidential materials.
- Other: Additional duties as assigned.
No experience is required, but general office familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook) is preferred. Good communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task are a plus. Ability to work with a diverse student population, faculty, and staff. Must convey precise work habits and a professional attitude. Walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and above 50 lbs. with a lifting device or support. Candidates must be current CI students and have a min. 2.0 grade point average. Ability to successfully complete the Defensive Driver Training program and maintain in good standing a valid California Driver's License (preferred but not required).
