Climate Litigation Research Fellow

 

About the Organization:

Building on the findings of https://oikoumene.org/publications/cooler-earth-higher-benefits3, the WCC together with UNEP and interfaith partners launched in 2022 the initiative Climate-Responsible Finance: A Moral Imperative towards Children (https://oikoumene.org/resources/documents/climate-responsible-finance-a-moral-imperative-towards-children)

In parallel and building on this initiative, the WCC is now developing a global climate litigation initiative for inter-generational justice, with focus on financial choices.
The intern will support the project implementation, and be engaged in other tasks related to WCC Child Rights Projects .

Position Description: 

1.Support capacity building on child/youth-focused climate litigation.
2. Supporting research on the mental health impact of the climate emergency on children and youth.
3.Explaining to young generations the importance of Climate-Responsible Banking as a Moral Imperative towards Children.

 

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge and special interest in climate litigation for inter-generational justice, with focus on financial actors. Creative communication skills.

 

Time Commintment: 30 hours/week
