About your organization:
Isla Urbana US (by Isla Urbana) envisions a future where equitable and sustainable water access is a shared reality for all, fostering thriving communities and ecosystems. Isla Urbana USA is a 501C3 nonprofit committed to advancing access to water for communities in Mexico working towards autonomy, achieved through initiatives to enhance human and financial resources for appropriate water technology and community development in Mexico. Our primary focus is on nurturing clean and sustainable rainwater programs tailored for water-scarce communities. We aim to strengthen a movement advocating for clean water access that transcends geographical boundaries, all while cultivating a new generation of water activists.
Position Description:
At Isla Urbana we are looking to improve our products and explore new fields of action.
The R&D department is searching for students in their last semester or recent graduates in order to participate in a special research related to rainwater harvesting systems and chemical components.
Desired Qualifications:
As it is a remote program, we are looking for proactive and self-managing person.
We are searching for a collaborator reliable and capable to propose research methodologies and set clear and achievable goals at their own work pace.
We are looking for responsible, organized and committed people willing to carry out research on chemical components on their own.
Time Commitment: 15-20 hours/week
