Summer Intern, Integrated Technology Solutions-IF

About the Team

The Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS) Section is an embedded technology innovation and solutions team that manages and supports the use of all information technology in our Division of International Finance. In support the mission of the division, the section creates custom web applications, maintains non-traditional databases, and leads the use of innovative techniques in statistical and graphical analysis of economic data. The section is also heavily involved in the organization’s transition from on-prem to cloud technologies and infrastructure for all aspects of the data analysis life cycle. 

 

ITS is excited to host one (1) summer undergraduate or graduate intern to work in an agile team of software developers, UX designers, and data scientists in support of the Division’s big data and cloud infrastructure work and to provide support to any other special development projects or initiatives that might occur during this time.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Currently enrolled in a undergraduate or graduate degree program, or will be enrolled by the time the internship begins and graduating no earlier than August 2025.
  • Seeking a degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
     
  • Any experience (including coursework) with one or more of Python, R, R Shiny, SQL, Shell, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Sharepoint Online, Office 365, Microsoft Power BI, Geospatial data analytics, AWS, Git/GitLab, Apache Hadoop, Airflow and general experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) is desirable, but not required if the candidate has similar experience or applicable coursework.
  • Must be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during summer 2025

Location: Preference is fully onsite for the duration of the internship, however, this internship may be completed remotely, or in a hybrid capacity at the discretion of the selected candidate and the hiring manager.
