Role Summary: The Learning Technology Assistant will support course designers with a range of quality assurance tasks for online Canvas courses. This role is ideal for students interested in educational technology and online learning environments.
Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Testing:
- Assist in testing online Canvas courses to ensure all content is accessible and functions correctly.
- Report any issues or inconsistencies to course designers for resolution.

Course Accessibility:
- Help ensure that all course materials meet accessibility standards, including checking for proper use of headings, alt text for images, and captioning for videos.
- Provide recommendations for improving accessibility based on best practices.

Student Work Study Estimators:
- Complete student work study estimators for various course tasks to help determine the time and effort required for course activities.
- Collect and analyze data to support accurate estimations.

Technical Support:
- Offer technical assistance to students and faculty using Canvas, including troubleshooting common issues and providing guidance on platform features.
- Maintain documentation and guides for frequently asked questions and common problems.

Content Management:
- Assist in uploading and organizing course content within Canvas, ensuring materials are properly categorized and easy to navigate.
- Update and maintain course content as needed, based on feedback from course designers and instructors.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a student and eligible for work-study.
- Proficient in English written and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of online learning platforms, preferably Canvas.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
