Product Management - Summer 2025 Corporate Internship

At DICK’S Sporting Goods, we believe in how positively sports can change lives. On our team, everyone plays a critical role in creating confidence and excitement by personally equipping all athletes to achieve their dreams. We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workforce, reflecting the communities we serve.

If you are ready to make a difference as part of the world’s greatest sports team, apply to join our team today!

We take a people-centric approach to everything we do. Our Athletes, how we refer to customers, and our Teammates, how we refer to our employees, are at the center of every decision we make so that we can provide transformational experiences online, in store, and in sport. When you join the Technology team as an Intern at DICK’S Sporting Goods, you’re joining a true team that wins together. We help our Athletes and fellow Teammates better their best by innovating solutions to interesting business problems and empowering every Technology Teammate to be an innovator. And, while our broader Technology team works remotely from all over the United States, they provide virtual and in-person events for the team to hangout, from virtual escape rooms to cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates at beautiful PNC Park. As a DICK’S Sporting Goods Technology Intern, you will spend your Summer in Pittsburgh working at our Customer Support Center (our Corporate Office)! We follow a hybrid work schedule, in the office Tuesday – Thursday and working from home (your apartment) Monday and Friday.

DSG’s Technology Interns work with and learn from the leaders who bring our vision to the Best Sports Company in the World to life. During the 11-week Summer experience, interns are assigned a strategic project that is selected by a leader on their Technology team. At the conclusion of the summer, you will present your project directly to your leadership team. As a bonus to our program, you will have regular Q&A sessions with senior leaders, take part in a visit to our multiple store banners, and interact with teammates across the organization including networking and volunteer opportunities.

To support you throughout the Summer, we have built a strong support system of managers and mentors.  For project guidance and day-to-day management, you will be paired with a Training Manager. Additionally, you will have status-checks and coaching from both leaders in our Technology Department and our University Relations Team. You will also have peer mentorship from Technology teammates earlier in their career. This support structure will aid in transitioning you to the DSG team, the exploration of your career goals, and will provide opportunities to develop professional and social networks within the company and the retail industry.

The experiential learning you will receive enables you to rapidly become a contributing member of the team, while also focusing on your own personal development.  If you join DSG, you will have the opportunity to be a part of an enthusiastic and supportive team culture, be challenged to make a meaningful difference in our business decisions, and get a peek behind the curtain of how a large company thinks about its growth strategies.

As a Product Management Intern, you will look to discover, understand, and communicate product management methodologies and frameworks to create intuitive, loveable products. Here’s what a few of our 2024 Interns had to say:

“My training manager (TM) did succeed in making my experience feel like I was a full-time analyst on the store analytics team. From assisting with ad-hoc work, to workshopping presentation slides, to working on my final project, the work given to me by my TM was engaging and crucial to a great experience during this internship.” – Lane Miller, Retail Analytics Intern

“If you are passionate about retail, come to DSG. If you are passionate about sports, come to DSG. If you want to inspire others and feel uplifted with your work, the answer is DSG. It was so easy to wake up and be excited to work because the business is doing well and the company works hard to not only do well for themselves but for the athletes they serve.” – Brooke Eyler, Strategy Intern

“I loved the ability to work on a high-impact, meaningful technical project, understand the parts of the business close and far to my area of expertise, work with and learn from a full team of technology professionals, and have a great cohort of other interns to share the journey with.”  - Sahil Hosalli, Technology Intern

“My internship has been the biggest learning experience for me so far throughout my career. It has shown me how the corporate world works... I feel much more prepared now for the real world than I did at the beginning of the summer and am much more confident in my abilities and knowledge of the business.” – Ryan Jones, Merchandising Intern
