Core Engineering Intern - Interiors
Inteva Core Engineering Interiors Interns get the chance to learn about Engineering Interiors role in supporting a manufacturing company, gain hands-on experience, and work on meaningful projects that make an impact. The intern in this role will work with the Interiors team out of Inteva's World Headquarters in Troy, MI.
Inteva’s Summer 2025 Intern Program includes more than your day-to-day work. Your experience will include supplemental learning and development opportunities, such as executive lunch-and-learns and professional workshops. You will support Inteva’s core value of caring for the world and our communities with group volunteering opportunities throughout the summer. Most importantly, you will have fun, learn, and grow as part of a cohort of summer interns. (May 2025-August 2025)
What will you get to do?
- Support the Validation and Craftsmanship team members with the following tasks:
- Support Creation & Maintenance of Validation Plan Documents (DVPR)
- Interact with Troy and QTC labs for in-house test requests
- Obtain test quotes from outside test vendors, where required
- Communicate with Inteva Operations to ensure timely part availability for testing
- Receive, label, and prepare parts for testing
- Monitor Testing in-house and at outside labs
- Prepare and present test data with summary and findings
- Assist Product Engineering with other validation related tasks
- Support Craftsmanship with appearance approval activities
Requirements for this internship:
- Currently enrolled student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA or higher
