PHP Developer

Job Title: PHP Developer

Location: Remote
Type: Internship
Duration: 6 months

Job Description:

As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using PHP and related technologies. You will collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to create scalable, efficient, and well-structured server-side applications. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in backend development and work on real-world projects that will enhance your technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, MySQL, and other related technologies.
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code for server-side logic.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Design and implement database structures, queries, and optimizations.
  • Ensure the security and performance of web applications by implementing best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code to improve performance and scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest PHP and web development trends and technologies.
  • Conduct thorough testing of web applications and fix bugs or issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in PHP and familiarity with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter).
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with web server technologies (Apache, Nginx).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration of third-party services.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Skill Sets:

  • Proficiency in PHP and PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter).
  • Database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Web server technologies (Apache, Nginx).
  • RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Version control (Git).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
