Accounting Internship

DeBoer & Associates, PC, a West Omaha CPA firm, has an opening for an internship. Our team is passionate about growth and collaboration.  We strive to improve ourselves so we can better serve our clients. We are looking for an individual who appreciates a challenge and will be a strong team player in our family‐like atmosphere.  We are looking for a sophomore, junior, or senior accounting major to intern with us starting January 2025 through April 2025.

Requirements – Must have completed Principles of Accounting I by December of 2024. Basic Federal Income Taxation is preferred but not mandatory. 

Job Responsibilities – Tax work includes income tax preparation for mostly for individuals, with some business returns. Accounting work includes putting documentation together for returns, account reconciliations, working with QuickBooks software, Excel projects, depreciation schedules and preparing financial statements.  Auditing work includes participating in audit planning, testing, audit fieldwork and reporting. You will gain experience and learn to apply your knowledge with a progressive local CPA firm. 

Training – You will receive training for your intern position including software training, detailed work training, mentoring and participating in firm training and meetings. Great staff to work with and learn from! 

Hours – We can come up with a flexible arrangement that works for the right candidate outside of tax season. Approximately 20 hours or more per week for January through April 15. We will work with you to design a weekly work schedule that will fit with your school schedule. 

Paid position ‐ $20 per hour to start.

Location – We are located at 17330 Wright St, Suite 100 in Omaha.
