Sales Intern

 

TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an onsite internship in the Sales Management Department at our Plymouth, MI location. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning. This internship will be January 2025 to August 2025 for at least 32 hours a week.

 

Sales Interns are used to support Sales in growing the relationships between TRUMPF and its most important customers. The Sales Intern will be responsible for supporting the sales development in area of battery and strategic accounts that promotes TRUMPF portfolio of products.

 

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Support outbound prospecting calls to create meetings and opportunities.
  • Develop new customer relationships and create start points for sales managers.
  • Work closely with new customers and identify relevant projects that require laser processing solutions.
  • Calling trade show attendees to drive booth engagement
  • Assist in marketing and trade show activities.
  • Review sales reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as customer liaison to manage relationship and contribute to long-term business development.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and ensure proper invoice tracking and payment by accounting department.

 

Budget Management

  • Coordinate all budget related activity for meeting the sales targets
  • Coordinate budgets with marketing for producing promotional material to be used for securing Korean OEM and Tier business.

Travel

  • 10% travel expected

Qualifications

 

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required. Strong inter-personal communication skills and ability to work as a team player.

 

Education

 

Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate’s degree in a related field.
