Reports To
The Design Consultant will report to the Design Studio Manager.
 

Job Overview
Supports the Design Studio in the buyer selection process of Interior/Exterior materials and colors. Interacts regularly with buyers, manages daily processes and inventory.
 

Responsibilities and Duties
• Conducts previews and tours with guests to the Design Studio
• Properly prepares for each design appointment by collecting buyer information from Sales
• Has working knowledge of plan features and structural options
• Conducts design appointments with buyers
• Reviews selections with home buyers prior to paperwork finalization
• Photographs final selections for buyer and community Superintendent
• Facilitates special requests for pricing and non-standard options
• Proficient in the builder selection process
• Maintains working knowledge of builder programs
• Assists with managing and coordinating staging of Spec homes and Model homes
• Inventories product and samples
• Aids in design and pricing of Spec homes
• Visits Communities and photographs installed products
• Stay current and up-to-date on design trends
• Other duties as assigned/needed
 

Qualifications
• Associates Degree in Interior Design OR minimum of two years’ work experience in design industry.
• Organize priorities
• Excellent communication skills
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
