Summer 2025 - 90 day internship
About the Role:
The Merchandising Intern’s primary focus this summer will be on building out reporting and dashboards to bring information from multiple systems to one visible space. This will enhance our team's ability to have the data more quickly to make decisions. After they learn about our systems and work processes, they’ll kick off the project with the guidance of our leadership team. This individual will learn to work with multiple people from the merchandising team, learn about the way in which we go to business, and will require their technical skill muscles to be flexed each day.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicate with merchandising team on business needs for reports
- Compile data, creating useful reports to run the business
- Create dashboards for different set of users
- Meeting with Merchandise Divisionals and Merchandise Managers to learn processes and needs
- Learning and using multiple systems (IMS, Vampir/Access, Excel, Supply Chain, Targit, Power BI,)
- Presenting work to leadership staff
- Work with those from other divisions such as IT, build reporting & dashboards for our team.
Skills and Abilities:
- Current college student pursuing a degree in business, or data analytics
- Strong attention to detail with a desire to problem solve
- Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets experience beyond basic knowledge
- Power BI experience is a plus
- Comfortable meeting with different levels of management to discover needs and present solutions
- Willing to collaborate with multiple divisions of company
