Take a turn as a Utica National Intern!​​

Utica National's nationally-recognized and award-winning internship program gives students an in-depth look at insurance and an opportunity to learn and grow professionally. We'll have you working on projects that matter that will leave a lasting impact on the company, and you'll learn from seasoned supervisors who are dedicated to helping you. You'll lead projects and present your findings to our senior leadership, showcasing your talents and company contributions.  And, our past interns have been offered full-time opportunities after the conclusion of the program - we'll even help you with your résumé and LinkedIn profile!  And, with built-in learning and development sessions, team-building activities, and social events, we think you'll have a little fun, too!  

This program is ideal for students with an expected graduation of May 2026 and for those who are able to work in a hybrid capacity in our home office in New Hartford, NY.

  • Underwriting – You’ll use your communication skills to retain and find new business, plus your analytical mind to calculate out the risk!​
  • Claims – Build your people skills to help our customers get through the worst of times, losing a house, car or other belongings.​
  • Actuarial – Analyze data, develop strategies to improve company processes and calculate expenses. And, Actuarial exams are paid by the company!
  • Information Technology - Apply your technology skills to help keep our software and systems running!
  • Finance - Use your analytical skills to help make informed decisions to ensure financial stability and growth.

Hourly rate: $20/hour
