We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines team in our Ellicott City, MD office. 

 

The selected individual will be responsible for assisting Account Managers and Producers with the administration and servicing of accounts in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the Company.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Initiate the renewal process for existing policies by preparing the initial CNA Lawyers Professional Renewal Solicitation report to provide to Account Managers.
  • Email brokered accounts with CNA Renewal Solicitation when application needs to be completed.
  • Review CNA Notices of Cancellation by checking CNA’s Direct Bill System and alert the Account Managers so further action can be taken if necessary.
  • Update all account information in the agency management system as needed.  Attach Monthly Claim Review document from our Program Manager in agency management system for each account.
  • Prepare letters for accounts when quote letters are not provided by the carrier or need to be adjusted for the client.
  • Manage and reviews phone reports and serves as backup for the Receptionist.
  • Scan incoming mail for the Lawyers Department and Personal Lines.
  • Process outgoing mail for the office.
  • Attend client/carrier functions as requested.
  • Attend and complete any training sessions or assignments as required.
  • Present a professional image as a representative of the company.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and every level of management.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned by Manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Ability to solve problems of a difficult procedural, organizational, administrative or technical nature.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
