Join our Infrastructure Technology Team

As a part of Jefferies Information Technology, Summer Analysts may also be able to specialize in Infrastructure.  The Global Infrastructure organization builds and maintains the technology backbone that allows the enterprise to operate while working on innovating solutions such as Cloud Adoption and Network Resiliency.

  • The Global Infrastructure organization builds and maintains the technology backbone that allows the enterprise to operate while working on innovating solutions such as Cloud Adoption and Network Resiliency.  The key functions of the Business Unit are as follows:  Networking / Telecom / Multimedia Engineering, Windows / Desktop / Messaging Engineering, Private / Public Cloud / Database / Unix Engineering, Data Centers, IT Communications.
  • The Global Network, Telecom & Multimedia team is responsible for architecting, building, and operating the Jefferies network that interconnects Jefferies internal desktops and servers, connectivity to international exchanges, global clients, application communication, cloud services, and internet access.  They are also responsible for global telephony services, global trading hoot-and-holler IPC services, voice recording, and audio/video conferencing systems.
  • Windows / Desktop / Messaging Engineering is responsible for Jefferies Desktops, VDI, Laptop and Windows Server design architecture and engineering, Active Directory, Certificate Management, Group Policy, Infoblox (DNS), Print Services Infrastructure, Application packaging, software & OS patching, Citrix architecture design and engineering, O365 (messaging, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint Online) architecture design and engineering, and Microsoft SharePoint design and engineering.
  • The private cloud team provides a platform that allows Jefferies to utilize shared resources for servers, storage, and disaster recovery.  The Public cloud team provides foundation services in the AWS and Azure clouds for Jefferies.  The services include product enablement, automation, operations, cost management, and on-call support covering 24 x 7.
  • The database engineering teams at Jefferies provide design, architecture, data security, auditing, and operational support to the application development teams. The server engineering teams at Jefferies provide design, architecture, deployment, and operational support to the application development teams.
  • Jefferies operates three types of Data Centers: Primary, Disaster Recovery, and Specialized CoLo facilities near exchanges/markets to reduce latency.  These Data Centers are physical locations that house core IT infrastructure and computing services such as servers, networks, storage, and other equipment that support business-critical applications, services, operations, and data.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Must graduate between December 2025 – June 2026

    • Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS; Azure)

    • Experience with network routing & switching technologies, network security protocols, wireless and understanding stateful application traffic profiles, cloud network connectivity solutions
    • Operating System experience: Linux; Windows
    • High-level understanding of Agile/DevOps ways of working; Git repository, CI/CD pipeline

Jefferies’ COVID-19 Policy – US

The base salary for the Analyst role is $100,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program). The base salary for the Associate role is $120,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program).
