Join our Risk Technology Team

Risk Technology is a global cross-functional team responsible for the enterprise risk platform at Jefferies, working closely with Risk Managers to help them identify, evaluate, and manage all areas of risk across the Firm. We operate on large datasets, run distributed near-real time calculation engines and build sophisticated visualization and analysis tools for our users.

We are in the process of building the next generation of our risk platform, leveraging cutting-edge technologies (Cloud, Snowflake, Containers, Gen AI, 3rd generation BI) to transform how risk is managed across the firm. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a green field project, help find innovative solutions to complex real-world problems and get practical experience on using these technologies.

Desired Background and Skills:

• Sponsorship for non-U.S. residents may be available
• Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Must graduate between December 2025 – June 2026
• General Skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly as you collaborate with others in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Motivated candidates with a desire to pursue a Technology based career in Financial Services upon graduation
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Technical Skills
  • Experience with at least one programming language (Python or Java will be ideal)
  • Experience with databases and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Software Engineer and/or Agile/DevOps practices.
• Finance Skills: nice to have
  • Knowledge of financial analytics and mathematical finance a plus – Value at Risk (VaR), options pricing, bond analytics, etc.

Jefferies’ COVID-19 Policy – US

The base salary for the Analyst role is $100,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program). The base salary for the Associate role is $120,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program).
