Global Strategic Communications Intern - Summer 2025
As a Global Strategic Communications Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to create corporate communication materials and help coordinate company events while learning about a global distribution organization.
The GPC internship program provides a tremendous leadership opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students, or recent graduates who are interested in being immersed in the business operations of their respective field of interest for a Fortune 200 company. Interns will do meaningful work through specific a project(s) and/or initiative(s) in their respective departments and make a final presentation at the conclusion of their internship. Interns will enjoy robust networking and personal development opportunities through formalized interactions with senior leadership, training workshops, and city-wide intern events. Interns will have fun and give back through opportunities to meet fellow college-aged students, social outings, service projects, and more!
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit news articles for the intranet
- Help create content including presentations, videos and graphics for use internally
- Write and edit talking points/key messages for executives
- Help coordinate events such as Quarterly Business Reviews and social gatherings
- Assemble materials for communication projects/programs
- Assist in the development of press releases, briefing documents and award submissions
- Work collaboratively with a high-powered team of global communications professionals to build knowledge of how the function works
- Use leading-edge communications technology and channels to engage a wide variety of audiences - both internally and externally
- Flex content development skills across traditional writing, social media and interactive media
- Learn how a global leader in the distribution of automotive parts, industrial parts, and office products operates day-to-day
Qualifications:
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required.
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at an accredited institution pursuing a degree in journalism, communications, public relations or other related field required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.25 GPA or above preferred

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- Expected to operate in a professional office environment.
- The 2025 program will run from May 19, 2025, through August 1, 2025
- The work week is 40-hours.
- Working hours are 8:00AM – 5:00PM with a 1-hour lunch break.
