Undergraduate Research Assistant
The Department of Human Development and Child Studies (HDCS), housed in the School of Education and Human Services, invites applications to an undergraduate research assistant position to work on a newly funded research and evaluation project on Early Literacy coaching.
This position will require data collection traveling (but locally) and additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program in education or related field
- Knowledge and/or experience conducting interviews and focus groups
- Enjoy being around young children
- Comfortable using camcorder/mics and other recording equipment or ability to learn quickly
- Responsible, dependable, and able to think on their feet and problem solve
- Ability to work flexible hours, and available during the day (3-4 hours in the mornings)
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Good command of Google Suite
- Open to learning new technology and research approaches
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with data collection in classrooms
- Strong interest in early childhood education
$17.95/hour, up to 900 hours. Position begins immediately and ends on September 30, 2025.
