Intern, Systems Administrator
The Intern, Systems Administrator will support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems. This internship is designed and intended to provide entry level work experience for students or aspiring IT professionals who meet the minimum qualifications. Scheduling is somewhat flexible and may be tailored to class schedules or other activities. Candidates that feel comfortable with basic Linux commands (either through a Unix/Linux administration class, previous job experience or self-learning in a home lab) will have a great opportunity to gain real world experience and sharpen their skills.
Responsibilities:
* Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems.
* Assist with monitoring alerts and resolving issues.
* Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support.
* Organize and maintain IT resources.
* Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management.
* Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
* Recently completed and ongoing professional development or degree seeking education in related technology fields is required.
* Demonstrable familiarity with basic Linux commands through classwork, gaming, home built lab experience or similar; is required.
* Familiar with computer operating systems.
* Experience in developing strong work ethic with coursework, professional networks, or internships.
* Flexibility and fluidity to thrive within a rapidly evolving environment.
* Strong organizational and time management skills required.
* Attention to detail is a must.
* Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to pass a background check to meet client requirements.
